Our Pizza Story

Pizzaiolo was born in 2008 when our founder, Marco Rossi, decided to bring authentic Italian pizza traditions to Canada. Having grown up in Naples, the birthplace of pizza, Marco was passionate about sharing the true art of pizza-making with his new home.

What started as a small pizzeria in Vancouver quickly gained a reputation for authentic flavors and quality ingredients. Today, Pizzaiolo has grown into a beloved brand across Canada, but we've never compromised on our commitment to traditional methods and premium ingredients.

Our name "Pizzaiolo" comes from the Italian term for a pizza maker who has studied the art of pizza preparation, often through years of apprenticeship. This reflects our dedication to the craft and tradition of making exceptional pizza.

With over 15 years in the restaurant industry, Isabella leads Pizzaiolo with passion and vision. Her Italian heritage and business acumen have helped shape our authentic approach to pizza.

Sofia Bianchi

Head Chef

Trained in Naples, Sofia brings authentic pizza techniques and recipes to Pizzaiolo. She's constantly perfecting our dough recipe and developing exciting new flavor combinations.

Marco Rossi

Founder

Born and raised in Naples, Marco founded Pizzaiolo to share his love of authentic pizza with Canada. His grandmother's recipes still inspire many of our signature pizzas today.
